PHOTOGRAPHING ASPEN SINCE 2004 · PORTRAITS SINCE 2014

Aspen's proposal, elopement & family photographer

Natural, unhurried photography across Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt and the Roaring Fork Valley. Twenty years of knowing the light, the seasons, and the quiet corners tourists miss.

I'm Darren. I came to Aspen from England in 2004 and started photographing the landscape, partly to figure out my new home, partly so my family back home could see what it looked like. In 2014 I turned the camera toward the people who come here too: the proposals, the families on their winter trip, the small mountainside weddings.

My job is to handle the planning so you don't have to. We pick the location, time the light, build a weather backup. You show up. We shoot. You go back to the rest of your trip with photos that still hold up in fifty years.

Aspen Proposal Photography

Surprise proposals quietly documented since 2004 — from Maroon Bells at first light to a tucked-away spot downtown. You plan the ring; I handle the rest.

Aspen Family Photography

Vacation family portraits across Aspen and Snowmass — built around how your kids actually move, not how a studio wants them to pose. The kind of frames you'll print and hang, not just scroll past.

Aspen Elopements & Intimate Weddings

Elopements and small weddings across the Roaring Fork Valley. For the ten-person mountainside ceremony or the courthouse-and-champagne afternoon — the day that's exactly the size you want it.

Aspen Headshots

Editorial-style headshots for Aspen executives, founders, and creatives — clean, modern, and unmistakably you. Studio or on-location across the valley.

Let's plan it.
